2027 Range Rover Facelift Spotted as Electric Model Nears Debut

Jaguar Land Rover is preparing an updated Range Rover for the 2027 model year, with camouflaged prototypes recently caught testing in winter conditions. While the facelifted version is on the way, the fully electric Range Rover is still expected to reach the market first.

The current-generation flagship SUV is due for its first major refresh after four years on sale. Despite heavy disguise, test vehicles hint at a cleaner front-end design, including slimmer headlights, a revised grille and subtle bumper changes. The familiar floating roofline and overall silhouette appear largely untouched, preserving the model’s recognizable presence. At the rear, lighting updates seem minimal, maintaining the SUV’s restrained aesthetic.

Interior changes are likely to focus on technology and refinement. A larger infotainment display and updated software are expected, in line with JLR’s push toward greater digital integration. New trim finishes and color options could further enhance the cabin’s premium feel, even if the general layout remains consistent with the current model.

Mechanically, the refreshed Range Rover should continue offering a range of mild-hybrid petrol and diesel engines, plug-in hybrid variants and V8 options. Jaguar Land Rover has indicated that both the combustion-powered facelift and the upcoming electric model will share a unified design direction.

Importantly, the long-anticipated electric Range Rover — previously delayed for additional development — is now projected to arrive before the updated ICE version. The EV is expected to debut ahead of the facelift, which could reach dealerships between late 2026 and early 2028.
