Audi’s next-generation RS5 lineup has reportedly surfaced online ahead of its official debut, revealing both Avant and Sedan variants in full performance specification. Shortly after the leak, Audi released an official teaser, confirming that the global reveal is just around the corner.
The leaked images point to a sharper evolution of Audi Sport’s design language. Up front, the RS5 appears to adopt a wider honeycomb grille, larger side air intakes and slimmer headlights with a more angular LED signature. The overall stance looks lower and more assertive than the outgoing model.
At the rear, the Avant highlights pronounced rear haunches, oval RS exhaust outlets and a subtle roof spoiler, while the Sedan features a sporty decklid spoiler and a more aggressive diffuser. Both body styles maintain the muscular, planted look expected from an RS model.
Mechanically, the new RS5 is widely expected to move to a plug-in hybrid setup, likely pairing a twin-turbo V6 with electric assistance. The electrified configuration could deliver a notable power increase over the previous generation while improving efficiency, aligning with Audi’s broader performance electrification strategy.
Inside, the RS5 should feature Audi’s latest digital cockpit layout, incorporating large integrated displays, RS-specific drive modes, sport seats and premium materials.
With the teaser now live, Audi has effectively confirmed that the next-generation RS5 Avant and Sedan are close to debuting — and electrified performance will play a central role.
