The launch of Ferrari’s first electric vehicle, the Luce, has generated significant debate, primarily focused on its unconventional styling rather than the powertrain itself. Developed in collaboration with Jony Ive’s LoveFrom studio, the Luce represents a bold departure from the brand’s traditional design language crafted by Flavio Manzoni’s team.
This radical shift appears intentional, as Ferrari has no immediate plans to transition fully to electric models, allowing the Luce to establish a distinct identity. In response to widespread online criticism, Carscoops created a series of digital renders to test how the Luce’s design translates when wearing badges from other manufacturers.

One rendering transforms the Luce into a Jeep variant, highlighting similarities between its headlights and those of the Jeep Avenger. Another adapts it for Dodge, pairing the transparent grille concept with the electric Charger Daytona’s full width lighting and illuminated emblem, finished in a striking Redeye inspired paint.
A Honda version receives Type R enhancements, including a sharper carbon fibre aerodynamic package and red bucket seats, though it ironically appears less exotic than some of Honda’s cancelled EV concepts. Finally, a Xiaomi inspired take incorporates Lighting Yellow paint, silver stripes, a roof mounted LiDAR sensor, and additional carbon fibre elements to better suit a high tech Chinese electric vehicle profile.
