Porsche has revealed the new 911 GT4 R, marking the first GT4 category customer race car based on the iconic 911 platform. The model succeeds the 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport and is built on the latest 992.2 generation 911 Cup car architecture, bringing improved performance and motorsport technology to the GT4 class.

Power comes from a 4.0 litre naturally aspirated flat six derived from the 911 GT3 Cup, producing up to 513 hp and 346 lb ft of torque. Output will vary depending on Balance of Performance regulations. The engine is paired with a six speed sequential gearbox featuring paddle shifters and a racing clutch.
Compared with its predecessor, the 911 GT4 R benefits from wider front and rear tracks, updated chassis hardware and enhanced aerodynamics. Adjustable dampers, multiple spring rate settings and a manually adjustable rear wing allow teams to tailor the car for different circuits. Lightweight natural fibre reinforced plastic is used for several body panels, helping reduce weight while maintaining durability.

Inside, the racer features a 10.3 inch digital display, integrated data logging and GPS based performance analysis tools. Ballast options are also available to meet series specific regulations.
The 911 GT4 R is homologated for GT4 competition, including SRO GT4 America and the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge, with customer racing set to begin in the 2027 season. It will be available worldwide exclusively for motorsport use.
Porsche has set a European base price of €265,000 before VAT. For buyers in Cyprus, applying the country’s standard 19% VAT would bring the total to approximately €315,350, excluding any registration, delivery or additional local charges.

The new GT4 R continues Porsche’s long standing commitment to customer motorsport while bringing 911 based performance to the GT4 category for the first time.
