Mitsubishi has released another teaser of its upcoming Pajero, previewing a new digital Multi Meter that pays tribute to the triple-gauge pod found in earlier generations of the legendary off-roader. The display reinforces the model’s focus on genuine off-road capability ahead of its expected debut later this year.
The digital Multi Meter provides real-time information including altitude, compass heading, roll and pitch angles, ambient temperature and drivetrain data, modernising the analogue inclinometer setup that became a hallmark of previous Pajero models. Mitsubishi says the new SUV is being developed to deliver strong off-road performance while maintaining comfort and confidence in everyday driving.
The next-generation Pajero is expected to ride on a ladder-frame chassis derived from the Triton pickup, with a revised suspension and body structure tailored to SUV use. Teaser images also reveal T-shaped LED lighting, squared wheel arches and an upright, rugged design inspired by previous Pajero generations.
While Mitsubishi has yet to confirm powertrain details, the new flagship SUV is expected to feature electrified engines in line with the brand’s broader product strategy.
The new Pajero will mark the return of one of Mitsubishi’s most iconic nameplates following the end of production of the previous generation in 2021. More details are expected to be announced closer to its official unveiling.
