AC Cars has officially revealed the new AC Cobra GT Coupe, bringing a fixed roof version of the legendary Cobra into production for the first time. Inspired by the 1964 AC A98 Le Mans racer, the coupe combines classic styling cues with modern engineering and powerful V8 performance.

Built on an aluminum spaceframe chassis shared with the GT Roadster, the new model features a full carbon fiber body, a double bubble roof design, and a distinctive Kamm tail rear section that improves aerodynamic efficiency. The styling retains the Cobra’s long bonnet, muscular arches, and aggressive stance while introducing a more refined grand touring character.

Power comes from Ford’s 5.0 liter V8, available in naturally aspirated and supercharged forms. The entry version produces around 456 hp, while the range topping supercharged variant delivers up to 730 hp. Buyers can choose between a six speed manual gearbox or a 10 speed automatic transmission, with rear wheel drive remaining standard.

AC says the GT Coupe has been developed as a high performance grand tourer rather than a stripped out track machine. The cabin blends traditional craftsmanship with modern technology, featuring leather, carbon fiber trim, smartphone connectivity, and premium materials throughout.

Production will remain highly exclusive, with pricing starting from around €376,000 before taxes. The new GT Coupe marks a major milestone for AC Cars, combining historic racing inspiration with contemporary performance and luxury.
