Eccentrica Unveils V12 Diablo Roadster Restomod with 550 HP and a Manual Gearbox

San Marino based specialist Eccentrica has unveiled its new V12 Roadster, transforming the iconic Lamborghini Diablo Roadster into a thoroughly re engineered open top restomod. Following the debut of its fixed roof V12 in 2024, the company has now created a roofless interpretation featuring more than 3,500 unique components.

The project retains the Diablo’s mid mounted 5.7 litre naturally aspirated V12, extensively reworked for sharper throttle response and improved thermal management. Power is rated at up to 550 hp, with 600 Nm of torque, sent exclusively to the rear wheels through a six speed gated manual gearbox. Eccentrica claims a 0–100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 335 km/h.

Engineering development was led by Maurizio Reggiani, Lamborghini’s former chief technical officer, who played key roles in the development of models including the Gallardo, Murciélago, Huracán and Aventador.

The Roadster features an entirely new steel and carbon fibre body with a wider track, while carbon fibre reinforcement strengthens the chassis. Eccentrica has also developed the aerodynamics to better manage airflow around the open cabin. Semi active dampers, hydraulic power steering and upgraded Brembo brakes bring the 1990s supercar’s dynamics closer to modern standards.

Only 19 examples of the Eccentrica V12 Roadster will be built, with every car individually configured for its owner. Pricing has not yet been officially announced, although reports suggest it will exceed £1 million before the cost of the donor car.

The Eccentrica V12 Roadster will make its public debut at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering, on August 14 during Monterey Car Week.
