Audi Unveils New A6 Allroad with Plug In Hybrid Power and Enhanced Off Road Capability
Audi has unveiled the latest A6 Allroad, enhancing its versatile wagon lineup with lifted suspension, standard quattro all wheel drive, and a wider body for improved presence and capability. This model builds on the A6 Avant platform, increasing ground clearance by 34 mm over the standard wagon while widening the body by 111 mm, a first for the Allroad range that was previously reserved for higher-performance variants such as the RS6.

The rugged wagon supports wheels up to 21 inches fitted with 285/35 tyres. Standard 19 inch wheels come with 265/45 tyres, while 20 inch options use 275/40 rubber, all wider than previous generations. An adaptive air suspension tuned specifically for Allroad use comes as standard. All wheel steering is standard on the plug in hybrid model and available as an option on the V6 diesel, turning the rear wheels by up to 5 degrees at low speeds for improved manoeuvrability and in the same direction as the front wheels at higher speeds for greater stability.

For the first time, Audi offers a plug in hybrid powertrain in an Allroad. It pairs a turbocharged 2.0 litre petrol engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined 367 PS (approximately 362 hp) and 500 Nm of torque. The 20.7 kWh battery provides up to 95 kilometres of electric range under the WLTP cycle and can be charged at up to 11 kW AC, with a full charge taking around two and a half hours.
Diesel enthusiasts can opt for the 3.0 litre V6 TDI mild-hybrid unit producing 299 PS (approximately 295 hp) and 580 Nm of torque. All powertrains feature standard quattro all wheel drive and electrified assistance systems designed to improve both efficiency and performance.

The new A6 Allroad reaches European dealerships this autumn. In Germany, pricing starts at €77,250 for the V6 TDI and €80,250 for the plug in hybrid. Audi has also confirmed that the new A6 Allroad will return to the United States next year.
