The latest creation from Bovensiepen takes the already potent BMW M5 Touring and transforms it into an even more exclusive high-performance wagon. Founded by the same family behind the Alpina brand, which BMW acquired in 2022, the new 05 GT serves as a spiritual successor to the celebrated B5 models. Designer Frank Stephenson helped craft its restrained yet distinctive appearance.

Starting from the BMW M5 Touring platform, the 05 GT receives comprehensive reengineering. Up front sits a revised bumper with a sportier profile and a mesh grille highlighted by a prominent Bovensiepen emblem. Side skirts add visual flair, while the rear features a custom spoiler extending from the roofline, a refined bumper, and quad tailpipes. Twenty-one-inch 20-spoke forged wheels wrapped in bespoke Pirelli tyres complete the exterior upgrades.

Under the bonnet, the plug-in hybrid 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 from the M5 gains a new air intake, titanium Akrapovič exhaust, and revised engine calibration. Output rises to 800 PS (approximately 790 hp) and 1,100 Nm of torque, up from the standard 717 hp and 1,000 Nm. This enables the luxurious estate to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in under 3.6 seconds and reach a top speed of 305 km/h. With a claimed kerb weight of 2,555 kg, Bovensiepen says it weighs only 5 kg more than the standard M5 Touring. Chassis enhancements include Eibach springs, modified support bearings, and a strut tower brace for sharper dynamics.

Inside, the cabin impresses with seats retrimmed in premium Lavalina leather sourced from select farms in southern Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and northern Italy. A newly upholstered steering wheel and extensive colour options allow owners to personalise the interior to suit their tastes.

Bovensiepen will commence deliveries of the 05 GT in the fourth quarter of 2026, with pricing starting at €198,900.
