BMW has revealed the Concept M Neue Klasse at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, offering the clearest preview yet of the upcoming all electric high performance version of BMW’s Neue Klasse sedan, an electric counterpart to the M3. The striking concept showcases a bold new design language for BMW M’s electrified future with far more aggressive styling than the standard Neue Klasse sedan.

Dressed in a vibrant Monza Red paint finish, the concept features bulging wheel arches, a pointy front end with crisp body lines, and an assertive presence. The headlights and kidney grille merge into two horizontal elements bisected by a body coloured spine, with distinctive yellow slashes inside the headlights that echo the M Hybrid V8 race car. These yellow lights, once reserved for CS models, are set to become a signature feature of future M vehicles.

Deep air intakes dominate the front bumper, inspired by high speed multihull sailing boats, complemented by square Track Lights that will define upcoming M cars, a prominent splitter, and a hood vent. At the rear, a matching design includes a substantial ducktail spoiler, deep diffuser cutouts, and natural fibre elements for the splitter, hood outlet, and diffuser.

Inside, the cabin adopts the Neue Klasse infotainment with a narrow dashboard spanning screen and a driver oriented parallelogram touchscreen. Four bucket seats are upholstered in Bathurst Blue and Berry Red leather with five point belts for this concept, while black nubuck leather appears on the steering wheel, door panels, and roll bar for the first time in an M vehicle. The centre console is simplified with a red gear selector.

Technically, the production model is expected to feature a quad motor powertrain providing independent control of each wheel, managed by BMW M Dynamic Performance Control software. It will use an 800 volt architecture for fast charging and a battery exceeding 100 kWh capacity with optimised cylindrical cells integrated structurally into the chassis. The production version is expected to debut in late 2026 ahead of a likely 2027 launch.
